Ardtalla

Falkirk

If you’re looking for something more than just a normal guest house; offering accommodation and a simple breakfast: but seeking a real, memorable ‘experience’ ~ you’ve found it.

ARDTALLA Lodge was built originally as a Victorian Police Station on the site and foundations of  Slamannan Castle (held by the Livingstones of Callander from 1470 ~ 1746 when they were forfeited for their part in the Jacobite uprising).

Ardtalla is a charming residence and has been sympathetically restored with much attention to detail, creating an atmosphere of comfort reflecting a ‘period of less anxious times’!

It is the home of a Scottish Laird and his Lady who offer: one double room with private bathroom, one double room with en-suite and a single room with en-suite. All guests have use of a sitting room, all rooms have fires and enjoy attractive views within the walled garden and beyond to the Campsie Fells.

Ardtalla is the seat of the Paisleys of Westerlea who head up a large clan worldwide and therefore you will see numerous family portraits and artefacts throughout their home. Westerlea will give comprehensive advice on visits or worthwhile activities to pursue. Lady Jane serves a substantial traditional breakfast with homemade bread and preserves and eggs from their hens and will  provide dinner by prior arrangement.

Ardtalla is pet friendly. It is also totally secluded and surrounded by mature trees, a mixed border and a paddock. Private parking in grounds.
