Zetland park is undergoing a major refurbishment, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. It has received a total of £2m to improve the park’s facilities and landscaping. It will improve access to the war memorial, along with repair and conservation works to the gates and the neighbouring fountain which dates from when the park was gifted to the community in 1882. It will also include the construction of a permanent performance space, an inclusive play area and the creation of a naturalised pond.
A fantastic new pump track for cyclists has now been opened. Plus a brand new fully inclusive play area, which provides a range of play equipment for all children no matter their ability or disability – including pieces of equipment and a sensory garden that are suitable for those in wheelchairs. Please note that the wheelchair swing requires a RADAR key.
The Tennis courts have also recently been refurbished and boast an excellent surface for all players. To play on these courts you must register first via Falkirk Community Trust Website
An e-bike station is also available now at the park. Check Forth Bike location map here.
