Jupiter is one of Scotland's finest examples of the reclamation of disused industrial land for wildlife and people. This urban nature oasis is right in the middle of industrial Grangemouth and is essentially a large wildlife garden, a haven for birds, butterflies and wildflowers.
Take the kids and enjoy one of the various self-led activities including pond dipping, bug hunting, mini beast safaris and tree orienteering. Or you could visit one of the wildlife gardens, which show how you can attract more birds, butterflies and a host of other animals to your own garden.”
There's also a year round programme of events on everything from bird box building, bushcraft and wild food. And for nature nuts aged between 8 and 12 there's the Jupiter Wildlife Watch Group which meets monthly.
