Dollar Park & the Walled Gardens

Dollar Park is based centrally and boasts spectacular flower displays throughout the year, regardless of the season.

A large Victorian two storey mansion can be found within the park’s boundaries.

The grand house has impressive balconies, pediments and a Doric door-piece. A long drive way leads up to the mansion, which is guarded by two Chinese lion statues, all framed by fine estate trees, shrubs and flower beds.

Dollar Park's play park is designed to look like a pirate ship and is ever popular with toddlers and children.

Please note the tennis courts, bouncy castle and Kiosk are all only open in the Summer Holidays, for opening times and charges please check the Falkirk Council website.

The house along with the rest of the gardens was gifted to the town by Robert Dollar, a shipping magnate and philanthropist.

Blossoming upon a half-acre site within Dollar Park, following two years of restoration work, the Walled Garden re-opened in 2015 and offers a range of features/activities including: a sensory garden, arbour area for picnics you bring, Bandstand and our pond area.

The Walled Garden was restored by individuals who had been sentenced to complete community payback orders, and was overseen by Falkirk Council Criminal Justice.

The ongoing development of the Walled Garden project is supervised by the Garden Co-ordinator, a position provided by Cyrenians in partnership with the Falkirk Criminal Justice Service and Falkirk Council. Cyrenians is a registered charity with a mission to support people excluded from family, home, work or community in their life journey.

Please note: limited parking is available on-site and the Walled Gardens are open Monday through to Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm with entry being free. Events, wedding photographs and education trips can be accommodated by appointment only.
