High Street to Helix

It’s possible to get from Falkirk High Street to the Helix without having to cycle on too many busy roads. This easy, mostly flat or downhill 5.8 km route takes you from the centre of Falkirk to the iconic Kelpies. 

Ride from the town centre to Callendar Park where you’ll pick up its wide, flat paths. Cycle to the end of the park and down through Callendar Business Park. Cross the main road at the crossing and cycle towards local landmark, Benny T’s, turning left onto a quiet road before you reach the restaurant. Enjoy a leisurely downhill cycle down Bog Road and towards the A9. Dismount to cross over the A9 near the railway bridge and then follow the cycle path past Falkirk Stadium, following signposts for Helix Park. The route will take you through an underpass and into Helix Park. From there, follow signs for the Kelpies to view these beautiful, majestic sculptures up close.
