Cycling Without Age Scotland Route 7 - Callendar Park Loop

Length: 1.2 miles

Route type: Loop

Difficulty: Low

Callendar House is a stunning French chateau-styled country house set in its own parklands near Falkirk Town Centre. With parts of the house dating back over 600 years, famous visitors during its long history include Mary Queen of Scots and Queen Victoria - amongst many others. Today, Callendar Park is a firm favourite of local families and hosts a large variety of live events, including concerts and sporting competitions.

Many of Callendar Park’s paths are wide and flat, with tarmacked surfaces making them perfect for trishaws, trikes and inexperienced cyclists. Take a trishaw tour or cycle around the grounds. The Callendar Park loop starts at the car park next to the refreshment kiosk. It takes you past the impressive front façade of Callendar House, before following the path around the ornate boating lake and through nearby woodlands. The path is flat and even, with a mix of paved and unpaved surfaces. The 2km route takes approximately 30 to 45 mins to cycle.

Please note that, as these Trishaw or Wheelchair Transporter rides are piloted by volunteers, they must be pre-booked with Cycling Without Age Scotland and they will be subject to the availability of volunteers.
