Place: Falkirk Steeple, Falkirk Town Centre

The Steeple has been an iconic part of Falkirk for centuries. Join us for a tour in this special building and discover its amazing history.

Located in the heart of Falkirk's traditional town centre, Falkirk Steeple has been an iconic part of the town's streetscape for over 200 years. The Falkirk Steeple Heritage Centre is staffed by volunteers from the Falkirk Local History Society who provide visitors with guided tours of the building including the prison cells. A series of interpretative panels tell the story of Falkirk since the middle ages. Don't miss this opportunity to see first hand the original Steeple Bell which is older even than the famous Liberty Bell. Learn about the amazing characters who have visited the Steeple over the years. With the exception of the ground floor display, the majority of the building is accessible only via a narrow spiral staircase. There is no lift.

The Steeple will be open for guided tours each hour between 10am and 4pm each Tuesday and Saturday between 9 May and 30 September 2023. The last entry is at 3pm. Entry and guided tours are free but booking is recommended as only 12 people can be accommodated on each tour.
