Throughout history, the Falkirk area has been an important strategic location. From Roman times, its terrain has been marked by walls, fortresses and intricate defensive systems designed to keep enemies at bay, and it was a key battleground during the medieval Scottish Wars of Independence and the later Jacobite uprising 🏦⚔
