Falkirk Area Tourism Partnership

Falkirk Council have been working closely with the Tourism Businesses within the Falkirk area and many of the businesses had been involved in the development of the Falkirk Area Tourism Strategy.

The key targets identified within the Strategy for the Falkirk area are:

  • To increase visitor expenditure in the Falkirk area by 20% over the next five years to 2020
  • To increase overnight visitor accommodation (serviced bedrooms and self catering units) in the Falkirk area by 20% over the next five years to 2020.
  • To develop a Falkirk Tourism Partnership to take ownership of, to review and to implement the strategy.

During 2017 Falkirk Council facilitated a number of meetings with The Falkirk Area Tourism Partnership. The Falkirk Area Tourism Partnership is independently chaired by the General Manager of the Leapark Hotel. Led by the Chair and supported by Scottish Enterprise, a core working group of tourism businesses was established to consider the formalisation of the Tourism Partnership structure.

As a result a company limited by guarantee with cooperative articles of association is being established.
Any tourism related business throughout the Falkirk area are welcome to join to the Tourism Partnership and can do so either by contactin the Visit Falkirk Team or by contacting Kevin Roach, GM of the Leapark Hotel.
