Coronavirus (Covid-19) Support and information


This section can help businesses and their employees  in the Falkirk area find information on how to deal with concerns about Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace, funding and other support. 



Business Support Fund 


Businesses within this sector may be eligible for either the one-off £10,000 grant for small businesses or the one-off £25,000 grant for businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors where this is the primary source of earned income and the property is let for 140 days or more.

Self-catering accommodation and caravans are considered eligible for grant funding if associated receipts represent a primary source (for example, one third or more) of the ratepayer’s earnings and the property has been let out for 140 days or more in financial year 2019-20. Local Authorities may specify any additional evidence they require (for example, records of bookings, a copy of public liability insurance cover or a website) in order to confirm eligibility.

Please note as the Self Catering sector was just recently added to the list of eligible businesses Falkirk Council may not be able to process these within our original estimated time frame of ten days. Please bear with us and we will aim to get these processed as quickly from receipt as we can. If you can make your application through our online application form this will help speed up turn around time of applications.
